What is Fox and Hound?

The Fox and Hound restaurant is a bar and grill designed to be a place to come meet friends, kick back and watch the game, or shoot a little pool while chowing down on creative versions of your favorite bar food and drinks. In addition to their 7 locations, Fox and Hound also operates cloud kitchens under the names American Grilled Cheese Company and Nashville Hot Chicken Shack. These virtual kitchens have enabled them to expand their menu into dozens of new locations without setting up traditional brick and mortar restaurants.

Appetizers and Pizza

that include standards like regular or boneless buffalo wings, nacho platters, and chips and salsa. But they also have interesting twists on dishes like the Nashville Hot Cauliflower and the Loaded Mac Chili Fries. With a dozen choices on the starter menu, you'll definitely have some great options to kick off your meal. In addition to the appetizers, many Fox and Hound diners like to share any of their 3 creative pizzas, which include the Nashville Hot Chicken Pizza, the Meatza Pizza, and everybody's old favorite, Pepperoni.

Burgers

Once you're ready to really chow down, you'll want to dive headlong into Fox and Hound's craft burger menu, which comes with your choice of crinkle cut fries or tater tots. Our favorite is the Jack Daniels Burger, because of its sweet glaze and blackened seasoning, but the Double Bacon Burger can't be ignored either. The way the carmelized onions and the Thousand Island dressing combine with the bacon is just magical. If you're in the mood to eat vegetarian or vegan at Fox and Hound, you can opt to replace any of their 5 burgers with an Impossible patty, which is entirely plant-based.

Sandwiches

With everything from Buffalo Philly Cheesesteaks to the famous Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, you'll feel like you've literally got the whole world in your hands at Fox and Hound. We especially love The Dilemma, a sandwich featuring smoked bacon and maple miso butter, topped with a fried egg. With hand-crafted creations like that, you'll forget you're in your neighborhood pub. For a lighter choice, check out the Black Forest Sandwich, which combines turkey breast and bacon with provolone cheese and honey mustard. It's nestled perfectly within a pretzel bun and is simply delicious.

Entrees

With 5 mouth watering and large main courses, Fox and Hound ensures that you won't leave hungry. We recommend the Beer-Battered Fish and Chips (the beer is Sam Adams in case you're wondering), which comes with tartar sauce. We also love the Drunken Chicken Tenders (again battered in Sam Adams), served with barbeque sauce, ranch, or honey mustard.

Sides

There are 6 fantastic options that pair perfectly with your main course. The Guiness Onion Soup is probably the most creative, as we've never seen Guinness and Jameson mixed into a soup, but our favorite is the Salmon Mango Salad, which features blackened salmon, jicama, and balsamic vinaigrette.

Desserts

Two fantastic options await you at the end of your meal. The Cookie Blitz is a chocolate chip cookie with chocolate syrup, vanilla ice cream, and salted caramel sauce. It also comes with whipped cream and a cherry on top. However our favorite, hands down, is the Apple Crumb, which is a crumb cake topped with vanilla ice cream.

What's on the drink menu?

You'll find a large assortment of craft cocktails, margaritas, mules, martinis, and Fox and Hound's famous 'shooters' like the Gummy Bear Shot. You'll also find red and white wine as well as bubbly for special occasions, and a selection of beers on tap for when you're in the mood for a good old fashioned cold one.

Final Thoughts

Fox and Hound is a great restaurant, not only because of its fun vibe and lively atmosphere, but also because of its exceptional menu. Crafting dishes that are inspired by traditional bar food, but elevated in terms of quality and preparation, Fox and Hound has put a lot of thought into its menu. We definitely love this small but mighty restaurant chain and would recommend a visit for any occasion.
