About GameStop Rewards

GameStop's PowerUp Rewards enables you to earn great perks and benefits on all your purchases. You'll earn at least 10 points per dollar on both in-store and online purchases, which can be redeemed for discounts on GameStop products. In addition, you can earn even more by purchasing a PowerUp Pro Subscription. We'll cover all the differences between PowerUp and PowerUp Pro here…

PowerUp vs. PowerUp Pro

What's the difference between PowerUp and PowerUp Pro? While PowerUp is GameStop's free-to-join loyalty program, PowerUp Pro is a paid subscription. At $14.99 per year, the membership gets you double the rewards points and plenty of other valuable perks.

PowerUp Benefits

As a non-paid PowerUp member, you'll earn 10 points for every dollar you spend at GameStop. Every time you hit 1,000 points you'll get a $1 reward certificate. This means you'll be earning 1% back in rewards on all your purchases at GameStop.

PowerUp Pro Benefits

When you choose to upgrade to PowerUp Pro you'll immediately start earning double the points per dollar. That means you'll earn 20 points per dollar spent at GameStop instead of 10. Considering the $1 reward for every 1,000 points, that means you'll be getting 2% back in rewards. In addition, you'll get a $5 reward certificate each month, which can be used on a single item. This is equivalent to $60 per year, which covers the cost of 2 months of your PowerUp Pro Membership.

Other PowerUp Pro benefits include an 10% Extra Trade-In Credit to be used on games and accessories, special offers and access to events, as well as a subscription to the online version of GameInformer. You can upgrade your subscription to receive physical copies of GameInformer for an additional $5, increasing the monthly subscription cost $19.99.

Expiration

If your account becomes inactive without any trade-ins or purchases for 12 consecutive months, your GameStop points will expire. However, if you've got your GameStop account linked to SoLoyal, you'll be notified in advance of any points or rewards expirations.

Please note that this loyalty program typically works for all your purchases at GameStop, but some exceptions may apply. And while you're exploring PowerUp Rewards, check out SoLoyal's recent blog post about the GameStop Comenity Credit Card.
