Macy's shoppers also enjoy the many benefits that come with being a Star Rewards member. You'll get 1 point per spent at Macy's, which can be redeemed for a reward when you hit 100 points. This equates to 1% back in rewards on all your Macy's purchases.

Members also get special points multiplier days called Macy's Star Money Bonus Days, during which you'll earn more points than usual on purchases. This increases your earnings rate above the 1% that's offered when you join, and you'll also get special perks and offers throughout the year, including a surprise gift on your birthday.

If you want to earn even more, you can become a Macy's Credit Card holder, which has 3 status levels reserved for members who meet certain spending thresholds. Each status level comes with additional perks, culminating with the highest benefit of 5% back in rewards when you become a Platinum member.

Star Money Bonus Days

On Star Money Bonus Days, Star Rewards members can earn even more points that add up to rewards much faster than usual. All you have to do is make sure you're enrolled in Star Rewards and you'll get notified when Macy's Star Money Bonus Days are in effect. Macy's does not reveal when Star Money Bonus Days are going to hit, so it's always exciting when you get that email. As long as you shop within the bonus period, you'll get extra points credited above and beyond what you would normally earn.

Every time you reach 1,000 points you'll get $10 in Star Money issued to your account instantly. This can be spent on anything at Macy's, with some minor exceptions for things like gift cards, services, and any applicable order fees. And while we're talking about exclusions, it's worth noting that Star Money Bonus Points can not be earned on certain items like furniture, mattresses, rugs, tech, and designer brands like Sunglass Hut, Louis Vuitton, Pandora, Finish Line, Lids, and some others.

Birthday Surprise

Macy's offers a nice surprise gift each year on your birthday. This benefit applies to all Star Rewards members and is issued during your birthday month. You never know what the exact value of the reward is, and it can certainly vary from member to member depending on your Star Rewards status.

In order to ensure eligibility for your Star Rewards Birthday Gift, you should be sure to make a purchase at Macy's within the 12 months prior to your birthday. An important tip is to keep your address updated within your Macy's account and make sure you're opted in to all marketing communications from Macy's. This way you won't miss your birthday reward.

Member Exclusive Offers

Macy's rewards its members with exclusive offers throughout the year. There is no definite schedule of when Star Rewards members get these bonuses as they are issued periodically based on when Macy's is running promotions. In addition, the value of Macy's Member Exclusive Offers tends to vary based on a number of factors, such as your Star Rewards status or which type of promotions Macy's is running.

Star Pass

In addition to Member Exclusive offers, Silver members and above get special savings in the form of a Macy's Star Pass.

Free Shipping

For Bronze and Silver Star Rewards members, Free Shipping at Macy's is valid on any order of $25 or more. You can also upgrade to premium shipping, overnight shipping, or same-day delivery for an additional fee. Once you reach Gold or Platinum status, however, Free Shipping applies to every order, with no minimum required. It should be noted that even if you use your Free Shipping benefit, Macy's orders may still incur a $10 shipping surcharge for customers living outside the contiguous United States.

Travel & Entertainment Benefits

Because of the partnership between American Express and Macy's, Star Rewards members can unlock exclusive travel & entertainment benefits. This includes early access to concerts, Broadway shows and sporting events nationwide, as well as a monthly selection of travel and lifestyle trends.
