Program Overview

A bulging belly is nothing to be ashamed of at this delicious sandwich shop. In fact, Potbelly is so popular that they're closing in on five hundred locations nationwide and beyond, serving up their menu specialties such as stuffed subs and "Mac and Soup." In addition to craving the food, repeat customers are also chasing after their next reward which always seems to be within reach as a member of Potbelly Perks. This recently relaunched loyalty program definitely keeps customers happy, making sure every visit is a rewarding experience. We'll break down the new program changes so you'll know what to expect upon your next visit.

How it Works

In January 2024, Potbelly revamped their loyalty program, changing the earning mechanism from Points to Coins, and issuing a higher number of them for every dollar spent. In addition, the program now includes 3 membership levels (Rookie, Pro, and Boss) which enable you to earn more as you level up. Previously-earned points will automatically convert to Coins, but only new spending after the program changed in January 2024 will count toward determining your status level.

Earning Coins

Potbelly Rewards members earn 10 Coins per dollar spent within the entry-level Rookie tier, and this increases as you achieve higher status levels. Pro members, for example, earn 11 Coins per dollar and boss Members earn 12 Coins per dollar. This means you'll get up to 20% more Potbelly for free as you increase your earning status by reaching new tiers.

Redeeming Coins

Coin redemption starts when you reach 200 Coins, which can be cashed in for various Potbelly menu items such as Sides, Cookies, Shakes, Fountain Drinks, and more.

Other Benefits

In addition to the structural changes in status levels, as well as the changes to earning and redeeming Coins, the new Potbelly Perks features a number of exclusive offers and rewards for Perks Members. There are also special opportunities throughout the year, such as 2x Coin days and a Free Cookie or Dream Bar awarded on member birthdays.

Expiration

All your earned Coins are automatically set to expire 365 days after they are earned, so it's advisable to use them as soon as you can. Perks are sent as soon as they are earned and expire according to any listed expiration date. When it comes to status levels, you'll retain a newly-earned tier for the remainder of the current year, and the entire following calendar year.
