Hilton Honors Buy PointsOne of the most important features of being a Hilton Honors member is the ability to buy Hilton Honors points. As a member, your Hilton points are quite flexible and they are commonly used for gifting or pooling. If you're looking to transfer your Hilton Honors points, you can easily do this through your account. Just look for the "Buy More Points" page within your account and you should be able to complete the purchase in a few easy steps. Keep in mind that there is a limit of 80,000 points per year that can be outright purchased, and once you make a purchase it may take 24 hours to be reflected within your account.
Hilton Honors Use PointsThere are a variety of ways for Hilton Honors members to use points:
Book a Room with Hilton Honors PointsWhile you can't actually use points for upgrades on an existing reservation, you can certainly pay for a new reservation with points. You can book Hilton Award Nights with as little as 5,000 points, while the most expensive rooms can range between 95,000-120,000 points. The overall point redemption rate is heavily affected by seasonality. Even if you don't have enough points to cover the entire reservation, however, you can use a combination of points and cash in order to make the booking.
Transfer Credit Card Points to Hilton HonorsHilton works with certain credit card partners in order to make it easy for you to transfer your credit card points to your Hilton Honors account. This can help makeup the shortfall if you're booking with Hilton points but you don't quite have enough to cover the cost of your reservation.
Shop on Amazon with Hilton Honors PointsOne of Hilton's strongest retail partnerships is with Amazon, which fully accepts Hilton Honors points for Amazon purchases. In order to be eligible to pay with Hilton Honors points, you'll need to link your Hilton account to your Amazon account. From that point forward, Hilton Honors will appear as a payment method when checking out on Amazon. You'll be able to commit as many points as you'd like to a given purchase during the checkout process.
Donating Hilton Honors PointsHilton has partnered with Point Worthy in order to enable points donation. From inside your Hilton account, you'll see an option to "Donate Points" which will send you to Point Worthy's site to get started.
Hilton Honors ExpirationYour Hilton Honors Points will expire if your Hilton account slips into inactivity for a period of 15 months. SoLoyal members are protected from expiring points as you'll be notified of any upcoming Hilton Honors expiration dates well in advance. If your points do end up expiring, you may be able to recover them through SoLoyal.
Hilton Honors WifiAll Hilton Honors members get Free Wifi starting from the entry-level tier in the program with Diamond Members getting Premium Wifi as an additional membership perk. Your Hilton Honors Wifi Login will be given to you when you arrive at a Hilton property.
